Triskelion of the Saint

Engraved on pine wood and adorned satin and angel wings. This piece was made as a devotional offering to Saint Brigid, the Christian adaptation of the Celtic fire witch. The rune Naudhiz (festival fire) was added to honor her fire aspects. The rune itself represents strength in the face of adversity. The Triskelion, or triple spiral, is an ancient symmetrical symbol that represents birth, death and rebirth, as well as the maiden, mother, and crone. It displays the cyclical nature of life and can help with transitional periods.
